For a 2008 Nissan Pathfinder LE. I used the configurator to find and select the right (switchback) signal light bulb for my truck, listing it using an 3157. I think Auxito isn`t the only one to make this mistaken as searching around they all list the same bulb with the same base, but the one that looks like the right bulb is a 7444NA, but the marking have burnt away. The owners manual lists the 3457AK as the bulb type, but also says that it`s not serviceable in-vehicle and must see a Nissan dealer for assistance...Regardless, there`s much confusion about the bulb that it uses.
Anyway, after having to remove my airbox and battery to get to the bulbs I decided to go all in. I used my grinder to shave off a section of the base, following up the legs. It sits flush in the socket, nice and tight, and the light works properly as designed and is CANBUS Error-Free as I do not get any hyperflashing of my signal lights. It does expose the inner wire inside the base, but it`s not like it`s a waterproof connector to begin with. The next time I`ll probably seal it with some epoxy.
