Custom made or imprint items 

This includes: Doctoral Hoods (unless in stock colors specified on product page), Master Hoods (unless in stock colors)
Custom Doctoral gowns and hoods, including custom masters hoods, take about 4-6 weeks to receive after the initial order and art (for embroidery if chosen) is approved. Please keep in mind sometimes art needs a few revisions so please order in advance.
Custom Stoles, Diploma, etc. with Imprint Selected. Custom made or imprint items which ship in 5-10 business days (1-2 weeks) after the order is processed and all artwork and styles are confirmed. After your order is shipped, it will take another 1-5 business days for delivery, depending on your location and shipping method selected. For your reference our shipping warehouse, for custom items is located in Brooklyn, NY. In general, it's safe to say your customized product will be delivered in at most 20 days after order and style confirmation.

Business Days 

Business days are Monday-Friday. Cap And Gown Direct do not ship on Saturday, Sunday, or Federal holidays and they are in general also not counted in transit time. 

Carrier Delays

If your order is lost or delayed by UPS or USPS, Cap And Gown Direct will help start the carrier's investigation to help locate your order. Because of the uncertainties of the investigation results, Cap And Gown Direct will not issue a refund unless the investigation has no result in 14 days or the investigation is completed. Cap And Gown Direct are not responsible for delays due to weather, carrier mishandling, or incorrect address provided. 

Refused Delivery and Returned Package
A customer who refuses an order at the time of delivery, or provided an undeliverable address will be responsible for the shipping cost as well the return cost. If a misdelivery or returned package falls into the carrier's responsibility, Cap And Gown Direct will assist you to open an investigation and send you a new package.
International Shipping
Customers outside U.S. may be responsible for local import and/or sales taxes and fees. Cap And Gown Direct cannot advise the exact amount as it could vary in each country, province, and city. It is recommended to research on the possible additional cost of tax before placing the order.

Returns

Cap And Gown Direct stand behind the quality of our products and gladly accept returns for unworn, unwashed, non-customized products. For any possible reason, you can request a return for a full refund (except shipping cost) within 15 days of order delivery, or at least 90% refund within 30 days of order delivery. Whether you choose to use a label provided by Cap And Gown Direct, or use your own shipping service for the return, the returned item(s) must be received in 30 days after order delivery for a full refund.

Yes, you can exchange for a different color or size as long as the product is of the same style. For example, you can exchange a shiny white cap and gown for a shiny royal blue cap and gown. 
Cap And Gown Direct offer to send an exchange package to you at Cap And Gown Direct cost, so you just need to pay for shipping back the return. 
However, if you need your replacement ASAP, Cap And Gown Direct recommend placing a new order, so Cap And Gown Direct can send the new item to you without waiting for the return to arrive. Cap And Gown Direct will refund you for the old order including the shipping paid, after Cap And Gown Direct receive the return.
